2010 Football season

This years football season was awsome. Alex's team, "The Spartans", finished undefeated. They poned every team they played. Kyle's team made it to the play offs, but lost to East. It was rough on the whole team, but we will get refenge next year. Watch out East! Next year is the year of the Falcons. Every game kept me on the edge of my seat when I was able to get myself to sit in it. Better than BSU football. Great job boys! I am so proud of both of you!

Graduation Day

It finally happened. After 6 years of college, the birth of my last two boys, and a difficult break-up, I beat the odds and completed my nursing education and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Science and Nursing. I did it despite the discouragement of some university individuals that said we would not be able to have a life outside of nursing school. That was not an option for me. As you all know, I had my three boys and myself to worry about. Someone had to pay the bills, and since child labor is illegal here, that left me. I worked part time and we were poor. For 6 years we were dirt poor.
But things are much different now. I will finally be making enough money to support my family without the help of anyone and I will be doing what I love. I have found my true calling in life which is to provide compassionate care to the critically ill. An old c0-worker of mine hired me to work in the critical care unit at a local hospital. It is there that I will start my service to the community.
I am also excited to be a mom again. My poor boys have sacrificed a lot on this journey as well. They have had to grow up almost without a mom, as I was consumed by nursing school. I want to be at their events, experience new milestones, and watch them grow. I am ready for life to slow down and experience it rather than watching it fly by.
There were many people who had a great impact on my success. My mom, dad, sisters, and friends helped out so much with my boys. Whether it was watching them or getting them to football. There is no way any of this would have happened without them. So to all of you I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I also want to thank my sister Suzanne for being my competition during nursing school. Our competitiveness encouraged me to be on my game and do my best. After all, I couldn't have you getting better grades than me. It was so nice having you with me and supporting me through our Nursing education. Who can say that they went through their whole nursing career with their sister. We will forever be remembered as "the sisters" at BSU and at NNU. They may not know who is who but they know that we are the sisters.
Yah! We did it!

Football Season's Over

Well football has come to an end. Alex's team the "Warriors" ended the season undefeated. He is sad that he will not be seeing his team friends on a daily basis, but I assured him that we would keep in touch with them as much as we can. Kyle's team the "Meridian Blue Bombers" were 3-5, with the last game being to most amazing of the whole year. It was a fun season for us all. We are sad to see it come to an end, but mom is happy to be able to have a day to sleep in every few weeks, and to be able to have dinner like a normal family again rather than shoveling food in as we run out the door. If I ever figure out how to add a slide show I will put some pictures up to view.

We have escaped the ghetto

Things are finally starting to turn around for our little family. We had an Olympic move this past weekend into our new house. It is so incredibly nice to live in a place that is a thousand times bigger than the shoe box we were in. The boys have lots of space to roam. Hide and seek has become there newest favorite game as there are many places to hide. Kyle has his own room now and we are trying to keep it from going to his head. He is excited but has already started to pull the "my room" card with his brother. Alex and Cody are sharing a huge room. (I have my room back now!! Woo! Hoo!) They have room now to set up their race tracks that have been kept in boxes probably since we bought them. We are all so excited. Life is good. Thank you God for our blessed life.

TUESDAY, JULY 15, 2008

The big little man turned 2 on the 10th. He is growing up so fast. We had a family BBQ and pulled out the slip and slide. All the kids had a blast. Cody got lots of fun stuff. I can't believe that my last baby is now 2. Where does the time go? Oh that's right, it is lost in nursing school. Well I only have one more year to lose and them I can slow down and enjoy me babies before they all turn into men. I may be too late in Kyle's case. Puberty is hitting him early. He is being mistaken for my boyfriend. I never thought I would wish that I looked older. Alex is still so genuine and sincere. I hope he hangs on to that for a lifetime.

CAMPING 2008

We had our second camping trip this summer. It was great. The kids had a blast swimming in the hot springs and enjoying the monarch butterfly beds. While the big kids went on a scavenger hunt, Cody bathed in the dirt. Good Times!!!!
